Past

Since our inception in 1989, AST Products has focused on the ophthalmology industry, particularly cataract and refractive surgery. Initially, our foundation centered on the application of hydrophilic treatment of intraocular lens (IOL) injectors as such technology enables safe, precise and controllable delivery of IOLs into patients' eyes. Eventually, the hydrophilic treatment technology became the industry's 'GOLDEN STANDARD' while AST Products became The 'HIDDEN CHAMPION'.

Present

Since 2011, AST Products has evolved from a technical service supplier into a MEDICAL DEVICE company. We design, manufacture and sell a full menu of lOLs and IOL injectors. Our lens portfolio includes monofocal, extended-depth-of-focus (EDOF) and trifocal models as well as their respective toric versions. Meanwhile, our IOL injectors and preloaded IOL delivery systems, bound to our company's roots, are all treated with our patented hydrophilic LubriMATRIX™ technology to enable safe, precise and controllable delivery of lOLs. In 2023, we spun-out our medical device division and established AST VISIONCARE, INC.
